Scoliosis and Posture Disorder

Features

Scoliosis occurs in pure form in only 2-3% of people. Scoliotic posture is diagnosed in 2 out of 10 school-age children. Mild asymmetry in this disease is noticeable only in a relaxed position of the body. Posture disorders are caused by incorrect posture at the table, carrying a heavy backpack on one shoulder, or intense sports training. Weakness of the muscle corset and hypertonicity of deep muscles accompany scoliosis. There are many types of it, depending on the type of curvature, but the asymmetry of the back is noticeable in any position of the patient. With timely treatment, scoliotic posture is much easier to correct than scoliotic disease.

Diagnosis of the disease

The sooner scoliosis and other changes in the shape of the spine are diagnosed, the more favorable the prognosis for treatment.

At the same time, at an early stage of the development of the disease, only a doctor can identify the characteristic signs of the disease through examination and special tests.
