Kyphosis

Kyphosis

Features of kyphosis

Due to prolonged physical exertion and exercise, injuries, forced stay in a static position, diseases, and environmental factors, the spine becomes deformed and twisted. A strong curvature of the spine (45 degrees or more) towards the back disrupts posture, leading to the formation of a hump. Due to spinal deformation, nerves, blood vessels, and internal organs are compressed, which disrupts their function.

Symptoms of kyphosis

severe back pain. between the shoulder blades, in the chest

muscle weakness, including in the legs

decreased sensitivity of the skin and limbs

impaired blood circulation and digestive systems and, as a result, lethargy, disorientation

restricted movement in the spine

problems with intervertebral discs

formation of a characteristic arch in the back

The deepening of the degree of curvature provokes not only severe back pain and deterioration of sports results, but also gastrointestinal disorders, psychological stress, problems with the functioning of the heart, genitourinary system, pain and problems with breathing.
